On November 3, 2006, you are invited to join The Kentucky Industry Liaison Group for an informative seminar discussing:

 Understanding and Responding to the OFCCP’s New Systemic Compensation Discrimination and Self-Evaluation Guidelines as well as the Latest EEOC/OFCCP Enforcement Trends.  

We are excited to announce that Mr. Matthew J. Camardella, Esquire, at Jackson Lewis LLP will be our special guest speaker.

 

Matt is a Partner at Jackson Lewis LLP in the Affirmative Action Practice Group.  He directs the preparation of more than 400 AAPs each year and has defended more than 50 OFCCP audits during the past 24 months for a broad range of employers across the country.  In addition, Matt serves as the Practice Group lead on responding to OFCCP allegations of class-based discrimination.  Matt spends significant time counseling clients about the design and implementation of company-wide AAP structures, applicant flow tracking systems, compensation practices and other complex “real world” compliance issues.

  

We are also fortunate to have Ms. Evelyn Teague, Southeast Regional Director of the OFCCP, as a guest speaker to share with us the latest OFCCP updates.

 Ms. Evelyn Teague is the Southeast Regional Director for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).  Ms. Teague has a wealth of experience in accounting, auditing and representing the legal interest of diverse entities in various industries including manufacturing, service, banking, construction, government, healthcare, entertainment and transportation.  Prior to joining the OFCCP in 2004, Ms. Teague served as in-house counsel representing management in labor and employment legal matters; she also served as a labor and employment director.

We are excited to announce that Mr. Mickey Silberman, Esquire, Legal Counsel for the National Industry Liaison Group, will be our special

 

Mickey Silberman is a Partner in the Affirmative Action Practice Group of Jackson Lewis LLP where he represents management exclusively in all areas of employment law and specializes in EEO, affirmative action and diversity issues.  He has obtained Letters of Compliance in more than 99% of the hundreds of audits he has defended.  Moreover, of the past 100 audits he has defended, only two resulted in on-site visits by the OFCCP.  Mr. Silberman is also General Counsel to and serves on the Executive Committee of the National Industry Liaison Group Board.  He frequently meets with top OFCCP and EEOC officials to discuss the agencies’ regulatory initiatives and enforcement trends and presents the federal contractor community’s feedback on these developments.

Carol Dawson is the President of EEO GUIDANCE, Inc., and was previously an Area Director and Sr. Compliance Officer for OFCCP and EEO Manager for Census.  Carol also was a certified trainer for OFCCP; training the OFCCP litigation national office staff and new Compliance Officers across the US.  Carol trains in diversity, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, harassment, and other related workshops across the US and has clients such as the US Mint, Hospice, Subway, and the Kentucky Office of the Courts.  EEO GUIDANCE, Inc. web site:  www.eeoguidance.com
